We have had some incredible fundraising going on for the club ….., and we would like to thank :
Tommy Loughran & Sister Shakes for their kind donation of money collected in the shop.
One of our players, Jamie’s Great Grandad, Ron Bate came to visit the club recently. Sadly Ron’s wife Irene passed away and she requested that instead of flowers if anyone wanted to make a donation that’s what she’d prefer as she wanted to pass on any donations made in her name to us at CP United. We are all so touched by this kind gesture and want to thank Irene and all of Jamie’s family.
Peter Roberts (James Robert’s brother) who raised £372 running the Cardiff Half Marathon … FANTASTIC! Your hard work, time and kind gesture will make such a difference.
Manchester FA for their very kind donation of £2,500 which was presented at the recent CPU Evening of Celebration at Hotel Football.
Andy Ashcroft and Joe Curley for their recent donations. Both Andy and Joe completed marathons to help to fund the found and tots program next season
AMEY and all the cyclists who completed the 10 club challenge around the NW region to raise money for us and another grassroots football club.
A massive thank you also to Jason Henry (Louis dad from our foundation group) Jason (along with 4 of his friends) recently took on a 69mile run from Carlisle to Baltic Quay in Newcastle…in under 24 hours!!
The route followed Hadrian’s wall over some difficult terrain and they reached the finish line at Millennium bridge. The race was called “The Wall” & took place on Saturday 18th June 2016.
Well done to all of you on completing this gruelling challenge.
Jason donated his sponsor money to CP sport and also to CP United FC.
