NEWS ITEMS:

CONGRATULATIONS! Well done to our u16 advanced groups who recently won their league (The Greater Manchester Ability Counts League) This is a PAN disability league so it’s a fantastic achievement for our players and we are very proud of them.

THANK YOU!

We would just like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to everyone who has donated and help  fundraise for CPUFC – you are all amazing!!!! We cannot thank you enough, your efforts have helped us to survive such a difficult period off the back of covid and enabled us to sustain our football programs and welcome more new members this season. We are working so hard to continue to provide opportunities for people with CP and ABI to play football, meet new friends and be a part of this special club, but we really couldn’t do it without your continued support!!!!

Just this past month we have had people running miles and miles to help us…

Harry B-M Uncle Sam completed the Manchester marathon

Harry P Dad Darren competed the London Marathon

Aidan from our adults program completed the Heaton Park half marathon with his Mum and brother

Well done to all of you and we hope your legs have recovered well.

A thank you to AMET for their recent donation which was organised via Alfie Lomas Dad.

Conor Bailey’s Mum, Becky, is currently fundraising by running a Bonus Ball £5 a number the prize is a signed LFC Konate shirt!!!  If you are interested please see CPUFC Facebook page for further information or please contact Ruth at info@cpunited.co.uk.  A big thanks to the Bailey family for fundraising over the last few months.

SPONSORED WALK a big thank you to everyone who took part and donated to the sponsored hike up Moel Famau – it was a great day – we raised over £6,000!!!!

As ever, thank you to The Steve Morgan Foundation for their ongoing support.

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE FOR ALL YOUR SUPPORT !!!!

WARBURTONS

A big thank you goes out to Warburtons who have donated lots of goodies to our breakfast/lunch club.  The breakfast/lunch club at Partington is available to parents/carers who attend too so if you fancy a piece of toast or a crumpet with your cuppa please just speak to a member of staff in the community room, it would be lovely to have you join us for some comfort food and a catch up.

Each week we have items left over, so again please pop in to the community room and a member of the CPUFC staff who let you know what is available to take home for your families.

Just a few things to remember as the weather is getting hotter:

WATER – Please note that ALL PLAYERS MUST HAVE THEIR OWN WATER BOTTLES.  Due to the amount of plastic waste there has been left after every session at Partington it has been decided to try and help the environment we will no longer be providing bottles of water on the pitch.  There will instead be containers of water where players can re-fill their own bottles.  If you do happen to forget your bottle then bottled water will be available to purchase from the community room at £2.00 each.

Please also remember to bring your inhalers and to take any anti-histamine, it is also advisable to put suncream on before you come to training.  If you do require sun lotion please speak to your coach at the session as there is always some on the pitch in the medical bags.

IF YOU NEED ANY FURTHER INFORMATION ON THE ABOVE PLEASE CONTACT INFO@CPUNITED.CO.UK
