On Saturday 7th October 2017 players aged 9-17 from our club are invited to undertake the challenge and help each other to complete it as a group.
Helm Crag – is a fell in the Lake District and the walk from Grasmere to the summit is approximately 3 miles.
We will look to start the walk at 11am from Grasmere village Broadgate Meadow car park, Grasmere, Postcode: LA22 9TA (Broadgate Meadow car park is on the northern edge of Grasmere village. It’s next to a children’s playground and gives easy access to the village shops, cafes and toilets (which are 200 yards away). There are seats on the edge of the car park overlooking the River Rothay. It is a pay and display car park but free if you are a National Trust member. They is also another car park just as you turn into Grasmere village (off the main A591 road) this is Stock lane car/coach park LA22 9SJ. This is not a National Trust car park and will cost approx. £5-7 for the day.
